  • Focus precisely on the wood glue. Wood glue is to bind the wooden pieces. From many alternative options from the market, pick up the right glue, that has a strong binding force.
  • Don’t compromise on the quality of wood filters.

My advice is to buy all the things from a reliable hardware shop. Get quality products for a quality barn door construction. As you are not going to make it daily, so assure the standards. You may be thinking of any other alternative material, rather than wood. Don’t compromise on that, as the wooden barn doors are the most realistic art, as well as they a have a huge life. Step by step instruction:

By following the simple step by step instructions, I assure you that you are constructing and fitting a handmade barn door. Thanks to DIY solutions.

Step 1: Cut equally

Using the lumber cut the following pieces to make it happen:

1”x8”:

  • Five pieces 84” long
  • Three pieces 29 ¼” long

1”x4”:

  • Two pieces 84” long
  • Set aside the third 1”x4” board for later.

These big blocks should cut down into small units. Relax, it’s not a too much difficult job. Wear some relaxing and old clothes, and get back to work. Are you ready to work like a carpenter? The feel is amazing. In case of alternative, you can resize them from the hardware store, but it may cost you a little. I prefer that you should try it by yourself, as it increases the experience to handle the jobs.

Step 1 cut equally

Pro Tips

  • Measure the exact length.
  • Place the board pieces on the ground, and then measure it.
  • No two pieces are of different length. This will spoil the overall look and quality.
  • Mark the areas, and cut them into pieces with precise handling.

After cutting all of them, you must have a stack of boards, that look like the board in the pieces. If so, then smile, as you are done with your first part of instruction. Without wasting any time, let’s move on to the second step.

Step 2: Arrange the boards

Five 1”x8”x84” pieces side by side

You have to arrange the 5 big board blocks, side by side. This means that one block sides, touches to the side of another block. They are kept in order to attach them. I know it’s not easy to wait until the bar done is done. But, patience is needed and hard work is required. Till now, I am sure that all the stuff is going well with you.

Two 1”x4”x84” pieces of each other

This may seem as a simple step. Yes, it is quite simple. You just have to arrange these two, as they surround the five closely placed pieces. Never take any step so simple, as the simplicity is forwarding you in the accomplishment of the project.

Step 2 arrange the board

Pro Tips

  • Make sure that every board piece is lying near to the other.
  • They are closely placed near, so they will give a strong reinforcement, in the future end result.

Step 3: Border around the door

This step is really simple, and like an art. You are going to create a border. These borders are quite good to see. You just have to place glue on the 1”x4”x84” pieces, and then pull over at the last 1”x8”x84” board, that is the leftmost board. Screw the 1”x4”x84” piece, tightly and strongly. Repeat the process again at the other right end. Glue the 1”x4”x84” piece, and pull over on the last 1”x8”x84” board, that is at the right most corner. Screw it also, in order to ensure its strong binding.

Grab 1”x8” and end up boarder. Repeat the whole process, from glue to screw. Place these two 1”x8”X29 ¼” boards, one at the bottom, and another on top. This time, use at least 4 screws, one at each corner. Fix the two pieces at the bottom and top.

Step 3 border around the door

Pro Tips

  • There you must keep a good level of glue on both pieces, as it helps to attach them.
  • Screws must be tight, and placed according to proper spacing. This ensures that the two wood pieces are attached strongly, with each other.
  • Assure the smoothness of sides, before attaching the borders.
  • The perpendicular placement of the board helps in strong attachment and binding of boards.

After having arrangement and a little parallel binding, let’s move ahead further to our next step. In brief words, the process is divided into three phases:

  • Glue
  • Place
  • Screw

Step 4: Measure 34" down and fix it

You have to strengthen the door. For that, just have to place another board piece. Don’t just get yourself just to work. You can enjoy your favorite song. Once you have tuned into the song, measure 34”inches down from the top of your door, and place a pencil mark. You just came to know about why all the carpenters have pencils with them. Do it, from the right and left side of your door.

Now take 1”x8” and install some glue in it. Right after that, find the pencil mark and keep that on it. You may enjoy putting the glue, by writing your name with the glue. These are kiddy stuff, yet sound good. Never forget to screw that guy.

Step 4 measure 34 down and fix it

Pro Tips

  • Try to measure the exact center
  • Place a good amount of glue and screw it tightly.

Step 5: Diagonal placement of 1"x4"

Line up the saw, and then cut. Explore the beauty of your work. Cut the other remaining 1”x4” board according to the instruction, and then you all need to repeat the following process:

  • Glue
  • Place
  • Screw

Place the other board, don’t join it now. Just find the intersecting point of first diagonal. Repeat with precision, the angel cutting process. Now the 1”x4” is dissected into two pieces. Fit them to make a better X. Make sure, by placing one on another, the X is quite similar to the real alphabetical one.

Step 5 diagonal placement of 1 x 4

Pro Tips

  • You need precision in making measuring
  • The use of saw to cut the angles is some difficult. You can practice it in small pieces, to avoid any loss.

Step 6: fill holes with wood filter

This is the finishing step. You need a better finish, to show your real talent. Filter the spaces and screw spots with the filter. This will hide all the spots of screws. Wait to dry. You can have some meal in the meanwhile.

Step 6 fill holes with wood filter

Pro Tips

  • Make sure that you have filtered all the screw spots.

Step 7: Sand and down the entire process

  • You can also make purchases online. But make sure the seller is trusted.
  • The material used must be strong enough to hold your project together.
  • The material should also be of a standard quality so that the characteristics match the project requirements.

Step by step instructions

If you are making the chairs yourself, you will need good guidance in formulating the parts of the chair. And so the assistance will be provided to you. First off, you need to have all the above-mentioned things with you. Make sure you have all of the tools and materials before you start working. Make correct measurements so that you accurately cut the wood. Any mistake and the chair will turn into a disaster. To make all the desired cuttings, here are the steps you should follow:

Step 1: Measuring and Marking

Use a measuring tape to make the exact same measurements as listed below. Use a wood-friendly pencil to make marks on the wood.

Step 1 measuring and marking
  • 2 – 2×4 at 35″ – Back Legs
  • 1 – 2×2 at 16″ – Lower Back Stretcher
  • 1 – 1″ round dowel at 16-1/2″ – Back Seat Stretcher
  • 2 – 1×3 at 16″ – Back Rest
  • 1 – 1×4 at 16″ – Upper Back Rest
  • 2 – 2×2 at 18-1/4″ – Front Legs
  • 1 – 2×2 at 16″ – Front Stretcher
  • 1 – 1″ round dowel at 16-1/2″ – Front Seat Stretcher
  • 2 – 2×2 at 16″ – Side Stretchers
  • 2 – 1″ round dowels at 16-1/2″ – Side Seat Stretchers
  • 1 – 2×2 at 16″ – Center Stretcher

Pro Tips

  • You must have a technical know-how of how to use all the tools properly especially the ones for this step. The base of the chair must be strong and solid.
  • Make all the preparations so that now all you would have to do is compile the chair.
  • Use a sharp 2H pencil for making marks on the wood.
  • Learn as much as you can about woodwork.
  • Use the best and finest quality of wood.
  • Be careful with the professional machinery.

Step 2: Bring the wood to shape

Cut the back legs 2 x 4 to make them fit perfectly. Shape your cut outs using the machinery. Make the seat, the front legs, back legs, backrest, etc.

Step 2 bring the wood to shape

Pro Tips

  • You are recommended to use a work bench or steady table while you’re measuring, marking, cutting and shaping the wood.
  • You can also work on the surface of the floor so that the wood doesn’t move causing you inaccurate measurements.
  • Make sure your tools are rust free.

Step 3: Assembling the sides

Step 3 assembling the sides

This step demands to assemble the chair. Drill ¼” holes using a 1” Forstner bit into the 16.5” posts then 1 1/6" from the top and then 2 1/3" from the bottom. After you are done drilling the holes, you need to fix the leg support by applying wood glue into the dowel holes.

Step 3b assembling the sides

Pro Tips

  • Use a 2H pencil to make marks.
  • You can make holes with a screwdriver as well but drill machine is a better option.
  • Use a 1” drill bit.
  • Or use a drill bit that is almost the size and compatibility of the screws.

Step 4: Assembling the lower part/Stand of the chair

Step 4 assembling the lower part/stand of the chair

Cut 3 pieces of 14" 1x4. Also, make a cutting of 12" piece of 1x4 (3 pieces). Cut a 17x17 inch square from the plywood for the seat. Then cut notches out of two of the corners of the board, to make room for the back posts (1.5x1.5 inches preferably).

Pro Tips

  • Assemble the side support or stretches into the dowel holes between the legs using wood glue.
  • You can also use the 2-1 or 2-inch pocket hole screws.
  • You can also create a center stretcher for your chair for better support.
  • You won’t need to fill the holes for that because they would already be facing downwards.

Step 5: Fix the stretches and seat together

Step 5 fix the stretches and seat together

Screw in the stands from the bottom of the seat. This way the drilling and screw driving can be made easy. Also, the face of the nails can remain downwards not hindering the beauty of the chair.

Step 5b fix the stretches and seat together

Pro Tips

  • Drill the holes on the surface of the seat after you are done assembling the legs and stretches. Don’t do this without first marking them.
  • The support or stretchers should be stable as well as give a balanced look.
  • For better effect, you can apply some glue at the bottom if you feel there is space for the support to move or the stand to be less stable.
  • You can also fix it with screws instead of glue.

Step 6: Insert the backrest and seat combination

Step 6 insert the backrest and seat combination

Glue and insert dowels into the holes at both ends of the left and right stretches. Your chair structure is now complete. All you have to do is set the seat now.

Pro Tip

  • Again, you can use screws instead of wood glue if you think that is a better, safer and more sustainable option.

Step 7: Fixing the seat

Step 7 fixing the seat

You can easily get a chair pad or chair cushion from the market. Sometimes your known shopkeepers also exchange your old ones for new. Get one of those and have it fixed into the same sized square wooden frame. Sew it over with a nice fabric.

Pro Tip

  • Use a new fluffy chair pad or cushion.
  • Make sure the wooden frame is the accurate size of the cushion, not big not small.
  • Sewing the cushion, fabric and wooden frame together can sometimes be challenging. You can use a nail gun to drive in small screws.
  • Even thumb pins would do to pin up the fabric at the bottom.
  • The easiest way is to use glue though.
  • Use a nice thick fabric that matches the other outdoor accessories.

Step 8: Sand and prepare the surface

Sand the surface of the chair to make it smooth enough to be painted or polished.

Step 8 sand and prepare the surface

Pro Tip

  • Use a hand sander for this.

Step 9: Painting, polishing, staining

After you are done sanding the chair, you need to give the chair a finishing touch. You can do this by either painting or wood polishing the chair. Some people like the original wood feel so they simply stain their chairs.

Step 9 painting polishing staining

Pro Tips

  • Use a good paint brush to paint the chair
  • A sponge is excellent for applying wood stain
  • Gauze and cotton can do good for the application of the wood polish
Step 9b painting polishing staining

That was all that needed to be had and done for making an excellent outdoor wooden chair. I hope you’ll found it helpful in reading as well as practically. If it was of any help to you, do recommend it to other friends. Hope that you have a fun experience trying to work on this project. Also, please share your feedback.

  • Angle of wedges should remain of equal size
  • Use hand saw and try to cut as close as you can for better results.
  • Use of scissors lift table helps you cutting the base of the legs properly.

Step 5: Balance the Sides of Table

Now, balance the sides of the table with hand sander

Make sure that it is balanced from all the sides as it will not look if it’s not balanced.

Now rub the sides of the table which is a very critical place as it would be dangerous, if not balanced!

Try to smoothen the every corner of the table so that it will not itch the person and would become safe for their clothes too!

Step 6: Make Sots to Fix the Legs of the Table

Trim the legs of the table with the electronic blade and make slots for the sides to fit in it like this:

Make sure that you have measured it well before cutting the wood. And make sure it is going to fix it easily.

Make four holes on the measured points of the table and try to smoothen them up with hand steel rod. Glue the sides of the holes of the table for a better grip for the legs of the table.

Remember it’s not the front side of the table and all the activity that you will perform will be on the inner side of the table.

Now insert the legs of the table which you made earlier.

Try to fix the legs properly and for a stronger grip of the legs let the glue dry properly.

For the safe side hit them with the hammer so that they can get fixed properly and would not move or came out of the table

Fix the small wood pieces on the upper side of the table where you can see lids of the wooden table legs are up.

Use the hammer to fix it properly on the table.

Seems like you are half way done with that! It is looking like this:

Step 1: Measure, Mark and Cut the pieces

Use the inch tape to measure the lumber and mark following sizes using a pencil.

Step 1A Folding Cedar Lawn Chair

  • 2’’x2’’s: four pieces, each 46’’ long
  • 2’’x4’’s: six pieces, each 26’’ long
  • 1’’x8’’s: eight pieces, each 46’’ long
  • 4’’x4’’s: four pieces, each 10 ¼’’ long

Use a wood cutter to cut the lumber at marked positions.

Step 1B Folding Cedar Lawn Chair

Make sure that the pieces are perfectly even and proper sized. You should now have 22 pieces of lumber wood into sizes mentioned above.

To give your table a more rustic and distressed look, beat up the 4’’x4’’ and 1’’x8’’ board pieces using a hammer and/or iron rod.

Read more tips below or move to the next step.

Pro Tips

  • Use a work bench to secure the lumber so that it doesn’t move while cutting.
  • Use the drill machine carefully to ensure safety.
  • Attach screws thoroughly till the end.
  • Use a sharp 2H pencil for proper marking on the wood.
  • When marking a line, hold the pencil such that there is no space between the pencil and the measuring device.
  • If you are using a tape measure, be sure to hook its one end firmly to the wood’s edge.
  • In order to find out the center of the wood board, place the measuring tape across the board width such that each edge of the wood coincides with a whole number. Mark the middle point and that is your center.
  • When using a table saw to cut the wood, keep the blade a little high for a cleaner cut.
  • Use small teeth blade to achieve a much smoother edge.
  • If you are still unable to cut the wood in the perfect size, just cut it a little bit oversize, and then trim to the right dimensions.

Step 2: Prepare the Base Frame

Take three of the 2’’x4’’ pieces and two of the 2’’x2’’ pieces and arrange them in the following manner.

Now, attach them together using two 2’’ trim head screws at each joint. The result should look something like this.

Let’s call it frame1.

Take four of 1’’x8’’ lumber boards and lay out them altogether. Make sure to put them in a symmetry-like fashion to form a perfect rectangle structure.

Now place the frame1 over the laid out boards. Move it carefully to make sure that all sides are aligned to the boards.

Attach the frame1 to the 1’’x8’’ boards using 2’’ trim head screws. Use two screws at each corner as well as in the middle of the table.

You may also use some screws along the 2’’x2’’ board for added security. The base frame is now prepared. Let’s name it base frame1.

Guess what? You get to build one more frame just like the one above. You just have to repeat the same process of Step 2 to build another frame similar to the base frame1. We will call it base frame2.

Now you have two identical frames.

These will be the top and bottom of your coffee table. Let’s now move to the next step.

Pro Tips

  • Consider using wood screws rather than generic screws as they are better for wood piece drilling.
  • If you are not comfortable drilling screws directly into the wood, you can drill a pilot hole first that will work as a path guide for the screw.
  • Make sure that the screws are of appropriate size (follow the dimensions mentioned in the materials section).
  • Make sure that the screws are not rusty.

Step 3: Build the Final Table Frame

Take four 4’’x4’’ lumber pieces and place them on the floor in the estimate dimensions of your table.

Take the base frame1 and put it over the 4’’x4’’ boards. Align the corners of the frame with the 4’’x4’’s. Attach the frame to each of four 4’’x4’s using two 3 1/8’’ screws at each corner.

Flip the table over. Place the base frame2 (show in the image below) onto the 4’’x4’’s.

Make sure the corners of the frame are aligned with the 4’’x4’’s and then attach the frame to the 4’’x4’’s using two 3 1/8’’ screws at each corner.

When you’re done, the final piece should look something like the one in the image above. Flip it over and move to the next step.

Step 4: Filling, Dyeing, and Finishing

Use the wood filler to fill visible screw tops and holes, if any.

Let the filler dry. After that, sand down the entire table using the sanding block.

Do it properly to make sure that there are no asymmetric edges anywhere on the table.

Use a good quality stain to dye the table entirely.

You can use an old piece of cloth or a brush to stain the table. Make sure that the color reaches to every corner and joint of the table. Let it dry for some time.

After the stain dries, use the polyurethane to finish the table.

This process is called finishing, which provides protection against dust and rust. Let the poly dry now. It may take a few hours for polyurethane to dry properly.

Pro Tips

  • Use a dust mask or respirator to protect your eyes and skin while staining and finishing the table.
  • Use a good quality sanding block or sandpaper to level the scratches or marks on the table. Remove the sanding dust using a dry brush or vacuum cleaner.
  • Apply the stain using a brush and do not overlap the already stained area.
  • Use a stain and finish material separately than a combination of the two, which is basically a more dense stain.
  • Oil-based polyurethane is usually recommended over water-based finishes because it offers great durability and finishes.
  • Choose the right application tool based on the type of stain you are using.
  • The longer you let the stain be on the table, the better color it gives.
  • The stain only provides color; you will still have to use the finish for better protection.
  • Stir the stain can properly before opening it.
  • For a darker tone, apply two or more stain coats.
  • Use a good quality polyurethane finish material for long lasting protection of your coffee table.
  • For protection against water and chemicals, use clear finishes.

Step 5: Attach the Wheels

A wheeled coffee table is incomplete without wheels. Once the poly is dry, flip over the table (upside-down). Now take four wheels and place one in each corner of the table. Attach the wheels using the screws.

Flip the table over.

Ta-da! Your rustic wheeled coffee table is ready. And by the way, it looks awesome.

Pro Tips

  • In order to stop the screws from losing over time, you can bend some of their threads down using a hammer before drilling. It will go inside fine, but won’t come out easily.
  • Clean your coffee table regularly to prevent the dust from settling on it.
  • Use rugs under the coffee table.
  • Repair the table immediately, if ever damaged.
  • Do not allow water or any chemicals to be in direct contact with the wooden table.
  • Do not put your coffee table in the direct sunlight for long periods.
  • Use a good quality bleach or cleaner to remove stains from the wood.
  • Do not place the table in direct contact with a fireplace.
  • Remove and repair cigarette burns, stains, dents, pores, warps, etc. as soon as they occur.
  • Do not place wet or hot objects directly on your table. Wipe up spills immediately.
  • Re-finish your coffee table at least once every year.

How to Make a Folding Cedar Lawn Chair | DIY Project

How to Make a Folding Cedar Lawn Chair

Looking to buy a new lawn chair?

Why buy a folding lawn chair from a store when you can easily make one?

A chair like the one in a picture is a dream of every home owner. But buying such one can cost you a few bucks. Instead, you can now build a beautiful folding cedar lawn chair by yourself at home.

As you can see, the chair is very good looking and comfortable. It hardly takes one day for an experienced woodworker to complete this project.

I managed to complete it in just 5-6 hours. This project doesn’t involve the use of nails, screws or any glue, but needs some bolts and nuts for joining. You also need a few 2×2 lumber boards, measured and cut to proper dimensions. The chair looks beautiful, even without a paint coating. I kept mine unstained but added a sealer for extra protection. In this tutorial, we will be sharing the step by step procedure for building this good looking folding lawn chair. This is a very simple project, even for beginners. The chair can be easily folded and stored in any small space during the winter or rainy season.

So what are you waiting for? Grab your woodworking tools and start now.

If you are a woodworker, you must already have many of these items. You can shop around to look for some deals before buying the remaining items online. Buy only good quality and strong materials, especially the wood. It should be strong enough to handle large weights and stand usual climate effects.

Step 1: Choosing the right wood and cutting the pieces

First, you need to choose the right lumber for this woodworking project. The author here selects Cedar as it is a good outdoor wood and holds up really well. You can choose any other you like.

Wood can be purchased from a local hardware or furniture store. Once you got the wood, you need to cut them down to the right dimensions as mentioned in the above list. Use a tape measure and a pencil to measure and mark the exact positions on the wood where it needs to be cut. Use a table saw to cut the wood into desired pieces (see the image below). One must have good woodworking experience for this.

Step 1A Folding Cedar Lawn Chair

Alternatively, you can buy the lumber pieces already cut and trimmedin the dimensions you need.Once you’re done

Once you’re donecutting, you should have 33 lumber pieces in total. There are two front legs, each 40’’ long, 11 pieces, each 6’’ for the transition on theseat, 8 pieces, each 12’’ for the main seat and 8 more pieces, each 27 1 /2” long for the back of the seat, two rear legs, 24” each. Each of these pieces is one inch thick. You can now round over all the sides of pieces using a router.

Step 1B Folding Cedar Lawn Chair

Pro Tips

  • Use a proper work bench for cutting down the wood.
  • Do this yourself only if you have enough woodcutting experience for this level of work. Or you can seek help from a professional.
  • Be very careful when using a table saw.
  • Use a sharp pencil to make the markings on the wood and cut exactly.

Step 2: Drilling the holes

Now that you have all the pieces for the chair, you need to drill proper holes in all of them so that they can be joined when and however required. You can use a drill press for this. Do not forget to set up a stop block for the right measurements. The 6” and 27 ½”lumbers will need two holes each, ¾” in from the end on the sides. (See the image)

Then, you need to drill two holes on each of the 12’’ pieces, one ¾” from one end, and the second hole 2 1/8” from the other end.

The 40” pieces also need two holes each, ¾” from one end, and 13 ½” from the other. Then, you need to make two holes on each of the 24” back legs, one ¾” in from the top, and one 10’’ ahead on the same line. See the image.

Drilling holes should not be a tough task, but it can be when you need to drill so many. Precision is the key here. Remember to setup the stop blocks properly to make the exact holes in the first attempt. Read more tips below to be able to do this task smoothly.

Pro Tips

  • Use a drill press whenever possible as it keeps the work steady.
  • Use proper stop blocks.
  • Set up the block at the right dimension to be able to drill the right holes.
  • Wear safety glasses if possible
  • Wear fit clothes and shoes while working with machines and screws.
  • Make a guide hole before drilling the exact hole.

Step 3: Designing the shape of the back legs

As you can see in the final product picture, the back legs are in a weird shape. You can do that to give your lawn chair a unique style. For this, you will first need to mark the shape on one of two 24" back legs. See the image below

Join the two pieces using a two-sided tape. Then, you can use the jigsaw to cut the pieces along the marked line. Trim the edges of the pieces using a router to give them a proper shape. It should look something like this,

Pro Tips

  • Cut a shape that you are comfortable with or just use the back legs as they are.
  • Use the jigsaw carefully and steadily to cut the correct marked positions.
  • Take the help of a professional if you are not up to the task.
  • Use a wood trimmer or router to even out the edges of the legs.
  • Make sure that both legs are exactly same in shape and size.

Step 4: Assembling the pieces

It is time to start assembling the pieces to make the final piece. Lay out two 40’’s and eight 27 1 /2" pieces as shown in the picture below. Put a threaded rod in the holes on one side by hand. Use the washer and cap nuts to close the sides of the rod.

Now, lay out the eleven 6" pieces in between the other sides of the work, such that the holes coincide with each other. See the image. You need to insert another threaded rod through the holes here. Instead of doing that by hands, you can hook the rod into a drill machine and then feed it in the holes. This is the easiest way to do the task. Make sure that the rod passes through each piece and they all are tied together firmly.

When the rod comes out on the other side, use the nuts and the washer to seal the both sides. Cut the excess rod using a hacksaw.

Repeat the same process to fix the two back legs in between the 6" pieces. Follow the images below. Use two more threaded rods the same way before and complete the assembly. Do not forget to seal both sides of the rods properly using nuts and washers.

Use a hacksaw to cut any uneven or exposed surface on the chair. After that, you can install the stop blocks at the back of the chair. Take the two 2’’ pieces and drill one hole in each piece. Now, drill one hole in each of two 24’’ legs of the chair and attach the stop blocks using screws. See the image. The task of the stop blocks here is to block the 27 1/2" pieces.

Pro Tips

  • Make proper joints to ensure that the pieces don’t move individually.
  • Properly fix the nuts and joints so that they do not get loose.
  • Make sure that all the pieces are of right size and align with each other.
  • Use strong threaded rods to join the parts.
  • Install the hacksaw blade such that its teeth face forward.

Step 5: Staining and Painting

You can choose to leave the chair as it is if you like its natural finish. But I would recommend using a good quality oil paint to give it extra protection, especially if you are going to use it for outdoor purposes. Or you can simply use a sealer.

Use a durable finish to give your chair a beautiful and rustic look. The chair in the image has been painted using General Finishes Arm-R-Seal that has been applied using a basic paint brush. Once the process is completed, let the paint dry for a while. Some woodworkers may also consider painting the individual pieces before joining the assembly of the chair. That is an easier and more preferred method.

Your folding lawn chair is now ready to use.

Pro Tips

  • Use a good quality, durable paint to finish the chair.
  • Use a proper safety mask while using the stain or paint.
  • Level any scratches or uneven surfaces using sandpaper before you start to paint.
  • Use a good quality brush and do not overlap the already painted area.
  • Let the paint soak properly into the wood to ensure a lasting finish.
  • Stir the paint can before opening it.
  • Use a proper steady workbench to perform the cutting operations
  • You can also set up the workpiece on a rubber mat to keep it from moving.
